The book starts out with a frightened but beautiful bride. Her husband doesn'tappreciate her. She is completely uninformed about the sexual relationship between men and women. She can't figure out why her husband pays no attention to her. The rest of the novel rests on her first hand experience of a discovery.....Her newly wed husband is having an affair.
There are certain parts of the story that are too long and repetitave.
Keep in mind that this is only one persons response to C.K. Ralston's story.
I am more positive about some of his other stories.

From a sheltered and puritanical background, Monica is 19 and married to a man who neglects her. Their sex life is terrible. She discovers he’s cheating on her - and that his mistress delivers much more satisfying sex to him than Monica does.
She realizes that to compete she needs to learn about sex, fast. And she does - with a handsome computer salesman, his roommate, a sex store clerk, the clerk’s sugar-daddy father. With her husband gone on a long business trip, Monica discovers a sexual appetite with no boundaries. Will she somehow fix her marriage? Or is her life headed in a new direction? Her sugar daddy offers to hire her to run one of his strip clubs - and strip at it as well! There’s plenty of hot sex and Monica’s transformation from naif to slut is truly breathtaking.
Ralston has a way of making her writing believable. Thus Newlywed story could conceivably be true. Scary for all of us males to visualize how easy to lose a loved spouse.
